The Knotty Sisters is a sister-owned crochet business based in Clarion, Iowa. We create handmade crochet plushies, accessories, bags, home goods and unique one-of-a-kind creations.
What started with a love of crochet has grown into a small family business built around creativity, handmade quality and a little bit of fun. We love creating pieces that make people smile and bringing our handmade creations to customers through online sales and local vendor markets.
Outside of The Knotty Sisters, Jamie is a wife, mom and grandma who loves spending time with family, traveling, crocheting and hunting down the next creative project. Every order you place supports a real, small, sister-run business.

Made by Hand, Made to Order
Ready-to-ship pieces leave us within 2–4 business days. Custom and made-to-order creations usually take 1–3 weeks depending on size and detail, and we will always confirm a timeline with you first.
Shipping & Local Pickup
Orders ship within the United States with tracking, and local pickup or market pickup in Clarion, Iowa is always welcome. We will confirm shipping or pickup details with you after your order comes in.
Questions & Concerns
If something arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, message us within 7 days with a photo and we will make it right. Custom and made-to-order pieces cannot be returned unless the mistake is ours.
Care & Safety
Spot clean or hand wash in cool water and lay flat to dry. Plushies with safety eyes are sturdy, but pieces with small parts are best kept for older kids — ask us for a baby-safe version and we will make one.

Ask the sistersYes! Every single piece is crocheted by hand by us, Jamie and Mindy, in Clarion, Iowa. Nothing is machine made, which is why no two pieces are ever exactly alike.
Almost always. Most plushies, dragons, hats and bags can be made in your color palette. Just leave a note with your order or message us first and we will plan it out together.
Ready-made pieces ship within 2–4 business days. Custom and made-to-order creations usually take 1–3 weeks depending on size and detail, and we will always confirm a timeline before we start.
Many of our plushies use safety eyes and are best for older kids and collectors. If the piece is for a baby or toddler, tell us and we will make a baby-friendly version with embroidered eyes and no small parts.
Spot clean or hand wash gently in cool water, then squeeze out the excess and lay flat to dry. Avoid the dryer so your friend keeps their shape.
Yes to both! You will find our booth at local vendor markets and craft shows, and we are happy to take on bulk, party, baby shower and holiday orders. Send us the details and we will put together a quote.
